The Medieval church at Lyutibrod
On the half-way between the village and the beautiful natural phenomenon “Ritlite” the ruins of a church from 12th-14th century could be seen. The church has a rectangular layout, three apsides and no narthex. Each one of the three naves was vaulted and all the three were covered with a double-pitch roof.
In the interior the remains of wall-paintings could still be seen. This is one of the oldest churches in the region. It managed to survive throughout the long centuries of Ottoman rule and to preserve the atmosphere of the Middle Ages. During archaeological excavations in the nave of the church graves form 13th-14th centuries were discovered.
